Obituary of Jan Duncan

Jan Beaubien Duncan, 75, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her home in Broomfield, Colorado after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Born February 11, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jan graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and married Roger E. Duncan on December 26, 1952. She attended Tulsa Vocational College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. They moved their family to Broomfield in 1974. After moving to Colorado, Jan continued to work in the medical field as clinic manager for LIttle Dry Creek Clinic in Arvada, Colorado and then as the practice manager for Children’s Eye Physicians in Wheat Ridge. For the last 12 years, she was a surgery scheduling coordinator for Western Orthopaedics in Denver. In addition, she owned JB Silver N Stuff, a home-based jewelry and gift business for the last five years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Duncan (Broomfield, CO); father, Virgil M. Beaubien (Tulsa, OK) and mother, Mary Emaline Noland Beaubien (Tulsa, OK). Survivors include her brother, James L. Beaubien (Kay), Tulsa, OK; son, Marc E. Duncan (Rexann), San Juan Capistrano, CA; daughters Deanna Duncan-Allen (Jeff) Broomfield, CO and Paula Duncan, Aurora, CO; grandson Keenan Duncan-Smith Aurora, CO; granddaughters Katherine Sniffen (Brian), Waltham, MA; Sarah Allen, Thornton, CO; Mandy Allen-Nale (Dave), Westminster, CO; and two great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, coworkers and friends. A private, family graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK followed by memorial services on June 3, 2011 2 pm at Will Rogers United Methodist Church in Tulsa and at 11 am on July 9, 2011 at Broomfield United Methodist Church In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jan’s name to the following organizations: Rocky Mountain Cancer Center Foundation,1161 S.
