Obituary of Lyle Fortney

“Lyle Ewing Fortney, of Denver, Colorado, passed away April 2, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was 69 years old. He was born on August 9, 1941 in South Gate, California to: Earl and Marjorie Fortney. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1960. Survivors include: wife Doris; mother, Marjorie Shelton Fortney of Grand Junction; three sons, Timothy of Denver, Joseph of Utah, and Michael of Idaho; brother Keith (Charlene) Fortney; sisters, Earlene (Gary) Davis; Deanna (Greg) Armon; also brother-in-law, Marvin (Merlene) Bilyeu of Grand Junction. Lyle was preceded in death by his father Earl A Fortney, and one daughter, Tammy Lynn Fortney. A graveside memorial service will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
