Obituary of Irene Harvey

Beloved wife and loving mother Irene Wilhemina Augusta Harvey passed away July 6, 2010 at Life Care Center of Pueblo, Colorado with her loving family by her side. Irene was born June 2, 1918 to Henry William Nobbman and Ida Hulda Kickbusch of Grand Island, Nebraska. She was the eldest of three sisters. On April 26, 1947, in Grand Island, Nebraska, she married David Harlan Harvey to whom she was married for 44 years. They moved to Denver, Colorado, then later ranched and farmed on the Eastern plains in Calhan and Elbert, Colorado. Irene is survived by her son Daniel and his wife Christy, daughter Marilyn Melton and her husband Lonnie, grandson Travis and his wife Cassie, sisters Versa Lawrey and Evelyn Hall and nieces Diane Lawrey, Roxanne Lawrey, Judith (Hall) Mennicke, Carol (Hall) Currey, and Debra (Hall) Stackwick. Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, David Harlan Harvey on January 21, 1992. She was caretaker and loving mother figure to many and will be dearly missed. She and her loving husband’s ashes will be scattered over the Colorado mountains they loved at a later date.
