Mike you will be missed by many & I am one of them. You were such a joy to sit by at work in “assignments”! Many many laughs! It’s ironic that your funeral is on the same day as our Colorado Rockies opening day in Denver. I know you always tried to go with Curt! RIP Play Ball!

Mike,
Notre Dame wins a National Title every year up there!!! You taught me about Aerosmith and what it meant to be a Fighting Irish fan… You and Dad made sure of it! Say hello to Stan the man for me! Tell him we need him to help us down here if the Cardinals are going to win a World Series again! You always had to make a dramatic exit, wish it could have waited a bit long longer. I love you, God Bless You.

The first time I met Mikey, I asked him if all the wonderful comments said about him were true. He replied “no” and confirmed each comment was, in fact, true. A sweetheart, although he would be the last to admit it, Mikey was, and will remain, a constant joy in our hearts. We’ll miss you, Mikey, and will do our best to carry on living life to its fullest every moment of every day. I treasure the day my husband, Kris, introduced me to such an amazing human being.

Dude! It’s been a pleasure knowing you. We were co-workers, softball players, car poolers and most of all, friends. A major prankster at work, he told many of the females that their nose hairs needed to be trimmed and we were all in the mirror checking and cussing him out! That laugh, will never be forgotten! I got the nickname of Battle Axe from him! Crazy guy!
Always in our memories and Mike will never be forgotten! RIP my friend! Natilie, Zane and kids.

Mikey, I will miss your sweet smile and goofy sense of humor and the big hug you always gave me whenever we met. As you ride into the sunset for the last time, I will quote the very special western cowboy. Roy Rogers and say; Happy trails to you, my dear friend, until we meet again. Rest in peace.

As anyone who knew him, Mike was one of a kind. Probably the laziest person I’ve ever known, but also the only person I’ve ever known to live life to the fullest on his own terms.
Mike accepted everyone, rarely spoke negatively about anyone, was witty, funny as hell, a walking American history encyclopedias and one great friend.
You’re greatly missed Slacker. Be sure to have a football ready so we can toss the rock when Sean and I get there. Love you man!

As a young man that came to Colorado and didn’t know a soul, i’ll never forget how Mike made me feel at home & always welcomed. The Kenny family has a special knack for making you feel like family whenever your around. I’ll always cherish the special memories and sometimes wild times Mike & I forged. To quote another line from a Western film in his honor: “I rode with him, got no complaints”… Rest in peace my man , i’ll see ya on the other side……

A tough, angry old sumbitch, or so he’d have you believe, Mike Kenny was one of the kindest, soft-hearted, gentlemen you could meet. One of the absolute funniest, wackiest guys ever. A phenomenal musician and athlete, claimed to avoid people but had more friends than anyone. I, myself, have scores of friends I met through Mike, including his family. I couldn’t count all the great jam sessions, parties, ping pong death matches, Westerns nights, and plain old good times I’ve enjoyed with Mike. His infectious laugh, and his inevitable condemnation, ‘you rat bastard!’ He was old-fashioned, highly principled, and lived his live to the fullest, and he was my friend. RIP, brother.

After moving to Boise, I obviously did not get to see Mike on a regular basis like I did when living in Denver. The truth be told though, once you met Mike you would never forget him and I never did. I would think of Mike and remember him fondly many a time since I moved to Boise. You were one of a kind Mike and I loved you like a brother. I was shocked when I heard that you had passed. When I come to Denver for a visit, if someone could call me a “rat bastard” I would sure appreciate it because that was when you truly knew that Mike loved you, just like we loved him. RIP Mike. I will never, ever forget you and it will take a while to get over the sadness of your passing. Ron
