Obituary of Edward W. Murrow

Passed away May 2, 2011, two days after celebrating his 79th birthday with family and friends. Loving husband of 54 years to Anna Jo. Survived by Greg (Lynn), Gail (Mike), and David (Julia), and six grandchildren. Born in Wray, Colorado, the youngest of 11 children, and raised on a farm. Served four years active duty in the USAF, graduated from The University of Colorado at Boulder. A long time member of the First Baptist Church of Boulder, he also served various charities such as Meals on Wheels. He worked over 29 years at the University of Colorado, and retired as the Treasurer of the CU System, Assistant Vice President for Budget and Finance. Served on the Board of Directors of both the CU Credit Union and the Public Employees Retirement Association. He touched many lives through his friendly nature, his hard work, and dedication. All donations in lieu of flowers and gifts go to the ALS Association of Colorado. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, May 5, at Calvary Baptist Church in Denver. An Air Force Honor Guard will be present for his subsequent internment at Fort Logan National Cemetery next week.
