Obituary of Martha Overstreet

Martha Louise (Marti) Overstreet, 75, of Arvada, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Wheat Ridge, CO. Marti was born June 20, 1933 in Denver, CO to Herman and Alberta Bielser. While on vacation in Hawaii in 1956, Marti met Sam Overstreet, and they were married July 5, 1957 in Denver, CO. Marti taught third grade after graduating from University of Denver and later retired from King Soopers. Marti was preceded in death by her husband Sam, twin sons Michael and Patrick in 1958, and is survived by sons Todd (Amy Greer) and Tadd (Kristen), and daughter Tiffni (John Rule), all of Arvada, CO; grandchildren Alex, Andy, and Adam Overstreet, and Archer and Sailor Rule; and sister Joan Bielser. Services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 4500 Wadsworth Blvd. at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009. Inurnment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Youth Ministries. Posted by All-States Cremation
