Obituary of Dorothy Blood-Smyth

Dorothy M. Blood-Smyth (Schaus) Born May 2, 1927 in Mullinville KS, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away early Tuesday April 21st. She is survived by her two children, Penny Ryan and Tracy Schaus as well as her Grandson Sonny Schaus and Granddaughter Tawnya Schaus and one Great Grandchild Dylan Schaus. Preceded in death by husbands Liddon F. Blood-Smyth and Don G. Schaus, and son Michael Schaus (Putter). Dorothy was a Teacher’s Aide at Molholm Elementary in Lakewood for 19 years as well as a full time homemaker and lived a wonderful life in her home in Lakewood for over 56 years. Dorothy lived her life with passion and compassion. She cared deeply about her family and her friends and was loved by all who met her. She was a very giving person without reservation. What a life, what a joy and what a friend has left this world. We are so very sad and we will all miss her warm, contagious smile. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, April 28th at the Bear Valley Christian Church, 6800 W. Hampden Ave in Lakewood, CO at 10am. Posted by All-States Cremation
