Obituary of Dick Takata

“Dick Leroy Takata was born in Denver, Colorado on December 29th 1950. He passed away quietly at his home on March 12th 2008. He is survived by his two sisters, Margaret Rivera, Sophia McCall and brother F. Wayne Damon, as well as nephews and nieces and lots of friends. He attended St. Cajetan grade school from 1957-1965 and later graduated from St. Joseph high school from 1965-1969. Joining the Marines shortly after high school he saw military action in Vietnam involving various sites and military campaigns. He seamed to be very proud of his military service and would often been seen wearing hats or jackets declaring his beloved Marine patches and Vietnam service symbols. He lived in the Denver Front Range area for all his life and worked a variety of jobs, to include delivery (Lloyds Furs), machine operator (Coors Ceramics) bus driver (RTD).
