Obituary of Beth Winchester

80, passed away on April 25, 2009. She was born in Glenwood Springs, CO on March 6, 1929 to Harold and Helen Perkins. She grew up in Leadville, CO and then moved to Denver, CO as a young teen. She moved to Arvada, CO in 1975. She retired from nursing in 1992 after 42 years of service. She then volunteered for Hospice of St. John’s for several years. She is the beloved mother of Larry “Moe” Murphy, Marsha (Phil) Clark, Tammy Sanders, Kristi (Jake) Harris; step mother of Vicki (Ted) Olson, Bernadette “Bunny” Winchester, Lori (Albert) Schimpf, Hal (Sandy) Winchester; grandmother of 19; great-grandmother of 18; sister of Joanne (Doug) Natzke and Barbara “Bobbie” (Don) Mullins; niece of Lois (Clint) Reynolds; aunt, cousin and friend of so many. Beth’s smart, funny and feisty spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She will be honored at a service at Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr Street, Arvada, CO 80004 on May 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to The Oberon House or Hospice of St. John’s.
