Obituary of Mildred Zink

72-passed away peacefully on the evening of June 30th, 2008, looking at the beautiful mountain sunset. Millie was born to Max & Helen Miney and raised in Michigan. Early on she worked for Michigan Bell telephone and later the City of Los Angeles as a telephone operator. After marrying and moving to California, she had 3 children. She returned to her hometown of St. Joseph, once again working for Michigan Bell. She eventually transferred to Denver and worked over 20 years USwest. She was very proud of her service to the phone company. Millie was also a Union Steward with the Communication Workers of America. Millie is survived by her children daughter, Linda Thomas & son in-law, Michael of Niles, MI, daughter, Laura Sergeant of Arvada, CO and son, Douglas Zink and daughter in-law, Gwen of Arvada, CO. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Michelle, Meghan, Kristy, James and 6 great-grandchildren Courtney, Alex, Kristin, Dylan, Dane, Toby and Abigail. And many nieces and nephews and adopted nephew, Mike. Millie was preceded in death by her parents and Sisters Lucille Yestke, Betty Kosovich, Brothers Richard Miney and Charles Miney. She is survived by Sister Mickey and brother-in-law Bill Neidlinger, Sister Christine and brother-in-law Lewis Schubering, sister Marjorie and brother-in-law Norbert Strzynski. Millie remains were spread over the Rocky Mountains by Helicopter. Donations may be made to the Denver Hospice; Alzheimer’s Association or Dumber Friends’s League. Posted by All-States Cremation
