Obituary of Judith Canaday

Judy Canaday, 77, passed away at the Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood on May 28, 2011. She was born on April 21, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska to J. Wilbur and Martha Wolf. Judy attended William Woods University and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She married Ralph O. Canaday on August 24, 1957. In 1966, they moved to Colorado where they raised three kids. Judy taught exercise classes at the Active Adult Center (formerly the Senior Community Center) in Wheat Ridge for 25 years. She was a world traveler. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her many friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two daughters, Tami (Gordon) Reusink of Arvada, Co and Kim (Pete) Freidhoff of Arvada, Co, and one son, Randy (Holly) Canaday of Fujairah, UAE; and five grandchildren: Anna, Erik, Russ, Ryan, and Ranae. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Wolf. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Judy’s name be sent to The Hospice of St. John or the Active Adult Center in Wheat Ridge.
