Obituary of Cobb Tilbury

Carolyn Lee Cobb Tilbury, 60, passed away in Lakewood, Colorado on October 15, 2011. Ms. Cobb was born an identical twin in Houston, Texas on October 16, 1950 to Thomas Lee Cobb and Margaret Fretz Cobb. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jack Swisher and Thomas L. Cobb, III. She is survived by her twin Marilyn Cobb Gillette, daughters Charlotte Pugh (husband Mark) and Paulette Wertz, brother Robert Swisher (wife Janet) and sisters Geri Cobb and Dorel McRae (husband Mike). Gammy, as she was fondly referred, was blessed by the love of her six grandchildren- Emily, Mark, and Ashley Pugh, and Zachary, Jared, and Seth Wertz, and numerous relatives and friends. She endured a courageous fight against breast cancer and her determination to live life to its fullest was apparent even through her five year battle. Cancer could only take her body, for her spirit was untouchable and carries on in the lives of her family. A beautiful person inside and out, a caring soul, a wonderful and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend she will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hospice of St. John located in Lakewood, Colorado.
