Richard Palmer

Obituary of Richard H. Palmer

Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Alice; son, Erik Palmer; daughter, Roxanne Palmer-McDonald, and grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda McDonald - as well as Rich's brother, Melvin Palmer and his wife, Marion.

Rich was born in Englewood, CO to Herb & Elsie Palmer on July 8, 1940; he graduated from Englewood High School in 1958; attended the University of Northern Colorado, and served in the Colorado National Guard.

He was a commercial carpenter by trade; had a wonderful sense of humor and was a gifted athlete, as well as a life-long sports fan.  He loved to travel - going on many trips with son, Erik, to see his favorite baseball teams play in their local stadiums.  He and wife, Alice, enjoyed traveling all over Europe and Scandinavia in 2004. He was fond of saying there was nothing left on his bucket list.

According to Rich's express wishes, there will be no formal memorial service.  The family plans to scatter his ashes in Estes Park in the spring of 2020.

Those who desire, are encouraged to donate to the Parkinson's Foundation.
