Treva Marie VanTine was born on March 16, 1941, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Charles Wilson and Dorothy VanTine.  Treva is survived by her husband George Schrade, brother Charles W. VanTine, Jr., daughters Suzanne Renter (husband Scott) and Marilyn Brueckner.

Treva lived a full life.  She loved the water, was a lifeguard in her youth, enjoyed waterskiing and even learned to SCUBA dive.  Treva got her degree from Oklahoma University where she was a Sooners fan and member of the Alpha Phi sorority.  She went on to attend Colorado Women’s College as well.  Treva taught special education and stayed in contact with many of her former students and teacher friends over the years.

Treva met her husband of 52 years, George, while square dancing with friends.  Six months later they were married in 1967 and soon purchased the home where they raised their two girls and where she eventually passed away.  George and Treva loved to dance, camp, fish, go on Caribbean Cruises, and travel in their motor home all across the nation.  They had many life-long friends who joined them along their journey.

Treva was proudly in several Saturn car commercials, loved to play the piano and the accordion, and she loved to sing.   She was an active member of her church and loved the Lord, teaching Sunday School, being involved in Bible Study groups, prayer chains and even preaching at her beloved Campground, Colorado Heights, in Monument Colorado.  Treva was always there for her family; she was a wonderful daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, and mother-in-law, actively supporting all her family’s endeavors.

Treva passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2019.  She will be missed by all who knew her and she will live in our hearts and memories forever.
