Mariah and family, I was so sad to hear of my old friend Anne's passing when my Christmas card was returned this past week. I have some of the fondest memories of times with your mom. As daughters of state superintendents of education, we had a lot in common. My Daddy, Craig Phillips from NC and your grandfather, Cal were good colleagues and friends...as were your grandmother, Jean and my mama, Mary Martha. We met through national Superintendent conferences across the nation and looked forward to seeing each other every summer. One of my most special memories is my visit to Golden to see Anne and her parents. They took me fishing and I caught my first big fish and posed with it for a photo! She took me to see all the sights in Golden (including Mork and Mindy's house) and we had quite a fun time. We have kept in touch through Christmas cards over the years. She will remain in my heart forever and I wanted you to know how much she was loved by me. Please give your family my love. She loved them so.

I’m devastated to learn of Ms Frazier’s death when my Christmas card was returned this past Christmas.
She will forever be the teacher that changed my life in Garden City, KS in 1981.
We were friends and I will treasure her visit to Texas to see me and my wife, and our visit to see her in 2015.
Anne, you were simply the best person I have ever met in my entire life. RIP, beautiful friend. Zante

When my sister Tamara and I were little kids (8-9 years old), Anne took us (my family) hiking and we made a brief stop to eat lunch that we had packed for our trip at one of the wooden tables we had found along the trail. We distinctly remember that Anne had told us that she brought churros for this trip and that we were going to love them since we've never tried them before! It's hard to remember what happened when, but somehow the squirrels got to our churros before we did and we had to throw whatever remained of them away (to avoid eating squirrel germs) But ever since then, every time we have churros, we always think of Anne and of all of our hikes together. They were simply the best :) She played an integral part in our family and we will forever cherish all those memories we've shared together. Our time in Colorado would not have been the same without her, she enriched it with every visit we had together.
Love you, Anne. We miss you.

My dear friend Anne will be greatly missed by many; her family, friends, coworkers, students and healthcare providers. She was an exceptional person and filled up her life with as many experiences as possible. She enjoyed this life to it's fullest. Anne loved; her family, her work as a Spanish teacher, travel to many places in and out of the US, time at the family cabin in the mountains, food with as many ingredients as possible, music, theater...enjoying both the smallest to the extraordinary things in life.
Her sense of humor was unmistakable along with her love of people. If she didn't have a good reason to say no, she would always say yes; yes to everything life had to offer. The health challenges she faced were overcome with bravery, grace and support by those around her. As was usual, I expected her to again triumph over this mountain. I'm very sad to now be writing a tribute on her obituary. Anne, this life will not be the same without your presence and exuberance. I have many memories, but would rather have your company. I will see you again my friend.
