Obituary of Shirley A. Mitterer

Mitterer, Shirley, A, 92 passed away June 18, 2020 from natural causes.  She was born February 18, 1928 in Denver.  She graduated from the University of Denver in 1949.  She taught primary grades in Denver Public Schools and in Carlsbad, N.M.  She married Adolph V. Mitterer on August 25, 1951.  He preceded her in death in 2007 after 55 years of marriage.  She is survived by two Sons Steven (passed 2013) and Thomas (Elsie).  At her request, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Shirley Mitterer to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 700 Broadway, Suite 810, Denver, CO 80203.

To the living, I am gone.

To the sorrowful, I will never return.

To the angry, I was cheated,

But to the happy, I am at peace,

And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.

So as you stand upon a shore,

 gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.

As you look in awe at a mighty forest,

 and its grand majesty - remember me. 

Remember me in your heart,

 your thoughts, your memories of 

 the times we loved,

The times we cried, the times we fought,

 the times we laughed.
