From the early days at Copper Mountain through many years with Arby's, Mike was always willing to have a frank conversation, offer advice, or share a needed story in order to give perspective. I am thankful to have known Mike...he always had time for me. To stay in touch, I would try to remember to call him on his birthday each year. Wish i had called him last year. I just learned of his passing. He is with the Lord. Happy Birthday Mike, for Eternity.

Two things I wanted to share about Mike:
1) He was a tremendous businessman. He made many difficult and often unorthodox decisions. With anybody else at the helm, his business would have failed.
2) I worked for Mike for 11 years. Mike allowed me to work a very flexible schedule which allowed me to be the type of mother I wanted to be and my children needed me to be. Because of Mike's flexibility with me, I never missed any of my children's activities. I never missed any of their sports events, school plays, musical concerts, nor parent-teacher conferences. For that I will always be so thankful to Mike.

Well Mike Kramer where do we begin. Of course with a glass of wine. Tom, Luke and I have shared so many great times with you and Donna over the years. We will never forget your generosity and funny stories and your advice on lessons in life. I think of all the fun times we had in Steamboat and Cooper Mountain. Luke and his buddies getting in trouble and you laughing and saying he’s just experimenting life. All the fun trips with you and Donna and our trip to Mexico. It is hard to believe you have left us. You are missed. We will be here to support Donna and the boys. RIP. It ended way to soon. Tom and Connie

Turkey, it’s your mean green bean, Regan.
I’ve missed you & I will continue to.
Wow, where do I begin?
From that huge, amazing stuffed polar bear when I was little, to my first jeep when I turned 16, to the multiple mountain bikes, and finally my Arby’s experience...I learned so much from you.
Your generosity when I was young, your forgiveness when I wrecked my cars, and finally your strict guidance while I was learning the family business. I’m grateful for all of it.
While learning the business, I got very upset with you one day.
You told me that it’s ok to be full of piss and vinegar, sometimes . I surely was with you that day.
My challenge at that store was HUGE! The effort I put in there was HUGE!
I told you to never, EVER speak to me that way again. I said, that’s not how you get through to me.
You smirked. It was a smirk that I know in your heart was saying, YES! Regan is learning!
Uncle Mike, you taught me a lesson on being tough. A lesson I needed. A lesson I’m proud to have learned.
That lesson came from YOU. I’m gracious.
I love you, Turkey! You’ll always have a spot in my heart.

INVICTUS
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

As a neighbor who lived across the street from Mike I seen him as a neighbor, friend, husband, and father. He was a neighbor that we were lucky to have. My children babysat his children and house sat the dogs while they were away. He always treated my children kindly. They have their own memories to share. I always felt if needed I could ask him for help and he would deliver. His love for Donna and his children was obvious. He was quick witted and liked to have fun. The last time I seen Mike was when we were was pulling away with the car packed and moving from our neighborhood. I went to wave goodbye but to my surprise Mike and Jake were mooning us! He got the last laugh! He will be missed!

Dear Mike,
Well, you have done it this time.
Elvis has left the building ladies and gentlemen.
And Mike, what's it like up there in heaven?
Have you found a back rub chair and are there Arby's restaurants?
Maybe you can get the development rights.
You are laughing aren't you?
You are laughing at the Folly of Man and how far we are from what God intended us to be.
Down here right now there is this Grand Canyon of Grief left in your quake.
Because in these uncertain times you were a rock of certainty.
Like King David, you were a man seeking the heart of God.
Obey God
Do Your Best
Leave the Outcome
To Him
You would say
And we believed you because you lived that way.
God made Man with a sprinkle of Difference. Each one.
In your case, he made you with a Mountain of Unique.
You are a true original Mike Kramer. Like we've never seen before.
And what I will remember most is your Humanity.
Your caring and sharing. Your charity and kindness and love of others and life itself. Your leadership and inspiration.
The million stories you told over and over again.
Yes, you have left this gaping chasm.
But you know what?
We will grieve, we will stumble and in the end, we will be all right.
Because you taught us that. That God does not hand us anything that we cannot handle.
So shine on Mike Kramer. Shine on.
You will not be forgotten.
I mean how can you forget
The Unforgettable?
May God Bless and Keep
The family Kramer.
We love you Mike.

I loved getting to be around Mr. Kramer when playing sports with Quinn. In the final playoff game before the World Series, Mr. Kramer pulled me aside and did what no coach could. He got me to relax and just go out and have fun. He was all about his kids and made every season fun. I’m thankful for all the memories with Mr. Kramer!

A letter from Heaven;
When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you would not cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we did not get to say.
I know how much I love you as I love you think of me, I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart for everytime you think of me, I'M RIGHT HERE IN YOUR HEART.
Micheal Kramer is a wonderful man & mentor, everytime he was in town he made sure that he came by my store and gave me a high five and a great job.
He is a god's man and we all knew it. He is a great Angel, and I know that he is my angel.
To the Kramer Family thank you for sharing him with the Arby's family I wish that I could get to know the rest of the Kramer's. Jake you know how I fell and I am so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you
God Bless each and everyone of the Kramer's.
All my love ,

I loved getting to know Mike while Quinn played on our Warrior football team. On Friday nights we had chalk talk at our house and the dads and coaches would bring over a few beers to have afterwards. I remember Mike bringing over a 6 pack of PBR’s one night; he was truly hip before it was cool. Looking forward to seeing him again one day. God bless you all!
