Obituary of Donna Rae Solome

On Friday, October 30, 2020, loving mother and grandmother Donna Rae Solome (born March 3, 1952) passed away at the age of 68 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Donna was raised in Chicago, Illinois. In 1972, at the age of 19, she married Eugene Solome and they raised three children together. Donna enjoyed many activities with her family, but traveling most of all. She loved company and delighted in the simple pleasures of visiting with everyone she met. Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Gene) Solome, and her parents, Geraldine and Albert Ernst. She is survived by her three children, Marc, Shannon (Peter) and Tristan (Lily) and her seven grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, there will be an intimate prayer service for immediate family only, with a Celebration of Life gathering in the summer of 2021 (date TBD).

In lieu of gifts or flowers, please consider giving a donation in her name to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Victim Assistance Program. The checks should to be addressed to DCDSA (Douglas County Deputy Sheriff Association) with “VA Donna Solome” in the memo line.
