Obituary of Victoria DeHerrera-Kirschenmann

Victoria Deherrera-Kirschenmann passed away on December 23, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. She was 70 years old.

Vicky was born on March 23, 1950 in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Her loss has left those who loved her without words, as her presence and smile would light up a room beyond compare. Vicky started her career working for the FBI in Washington DC, she eventually moved on to work for Adams County Head Start in Colorado and then finished her career with the federal government. Vicky loved her book club and volunteering at her church, First Presbyterian of Brighton. She favored Scottie dogs, and adored Molly (who preceded her in death) and Sadie (her constant companion). She looked forward to her Sunday phone calls with her son Steven, they cherished hearing about each other’s highlights of the previous week.

Vicky was generous in sharing her cooking skills with those she loved. Together with her husband, Vicky most loved watching her  goddaughter, Avery, excel on the sports field.

Vicky is survived by her husband Robert of 25 years and three children, Steven (Jessica), Tom (Crystal), and Pennie (Luis). Vicky was blessed with three grandchildren Jett, Tate and Jordyn.

Vicky is also survived by her brothers Alfonso (Lorraine), Alejandro (Marjorie), Juan (Betsy), sister Patricia Barnett (John), and her sister in law Laverne.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Philomena, and her brothers Roque and Jacobo.
