Obituary of Cozalee Penner

Cozalee Penner 

 

 

Coza grew up in Newton KS. where she met the love of her life just after WWII. They met at the Regent Théâtre on Main Street where she worked in the box office. Buzz Penner returned often until she agreed to go out with him. They were happily married for over 70 years.

 

Because her husband, Buzz worked for United Airlines, she was fortunate enough to indulge her passion for travel. She went all across Europe and Asia and enjoyed every trip to the fullest, even taking French lessons for a time.

 

Coza possessed the rare gift of putting everyone she met at ease with her infectious laugh and unending smile. She and her husband lived from one end of the country to the other making lifelong friends wherever they lived. Coza became quite the expert at knitting and spent a few years conquering yoga. We all will miss her never-ending upbeat attitude, but feel so grateful we had her in our lives as long as we did.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and both brothers. Coza is survived by her children, Richard (Mariann) and Susan (Phil) grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Yan Mei, Amanda and Mitch and her step great-grandchild: Palmer.
