William “Bill” Joseph Lovegrove

On February 4, 2021, Bill Lovegrove peacefully passed away in Denver, Colorado.

Bill was born to Aubrey and Nora Lovegrove on February 13, 1928 in Kokomo, Indiana.  Bill proudly graduated from Indiana University in 1951 with a Business Degree and remained a Hoosier basketball fan over the years.  After college, he went on to serve as a second lieutenant platoon leader in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1957.

Establishing roots in Colorado, Bill and his wife, Phyllis (“Phil Babe”) raised four energetic boys and later welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the family.  Bill worked for Martin Marietta as a Finance Director for 35 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and gardening.  The most important thing to Bill was his family and being able to provide for, protect, and teach them.  

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Nora; his siblings; Aubrey, Reba, Bob, Mary Caroline, Jeff and Tim; his wife Phyllis; and sons John and Brad. 

Bill is survived by his siblings; Linda and Mick; sons; Brian and Jim, 6-Grandchildren; Stacey, Dawn, Brenda, Brannon, Jesse, and Makayla; and 11-Great-Grandchildren; Isaac, Kelsey, Karlee, Ashlynn, Payton, Morgan, Conner, JJ, Reagan, Stella, and Mia.

Services are currently pending due to the pandemic.
