Obituary of Billy Joe Richardson

Billy Joe Richardson entered his eternal reward on Monday, May 17th, 2021.  He passed away peacefully of natural causes at the tender age of 79.

Billy was born on September 2nd, 1941 in Springfield, Missouri to Joe Bill and Parthenia Elizabeth Richardson.

He graduated from Central Senior High School in 1960 located in Springfield, Missouri. From there he moved to Rockford, Illinois. By trade Billy worked and retired in the Logistics Industry. After Retirement he spent some time in Houston, Texas to be near his son John Richardson and his grandchild. He relocated to Denver, Colorado in February of 2010 to be with his daughter Marion Joel Tatum. Billy loved the Lord and served as a Deacon in the church. He was a faithful servant and gave God all the glory and praise.

He is survived by two sisters Lois Inez Mimes (husband Johnny L. Mimes). His sister Donna Sue Bohanon (husband Roy Bohanon). He had three brothers. Robert Richardson (wife Deborah Richardson). Jerome Richardson, Richard Clark (deceased 3/29/2017). He is survived by his daughter Marion Joel Tatum. (daughter of Salinday Luree Tatum-deceased 10/16/20). His Son Terry L. Richardson (son of Tereatha Marlene Richardson-deceased 12/4/1998). John Weldon Richardson (deceased 1/10/21 son of Tereatha Marlene Richardson). Billy had five grandchildren-Johnathon Richardson, Jonia Richardson, Jace Richardson, Deshayla Richardson and Deshawn Richardson. Billy leaves behind many friends and loved ones.

The Lord would say “Well done my good and faithful servant”. He will truly be missed. His smile that would light up a room and bring joy to others will not be forgotten. Billy had the best sense of humor and the greatest words of wisdom. Although his wings were ready our hearts were not. Rest in Glory Billy gone but never forgotten and your memory will be cherished always.
