Obituary of Naomi R. (Railsback) Peratt

Naomi R. (Railsback) Peratt died peacefully, surrounded by family, at age 86 on July 7, 2021. Born and raised in Nebraska, she graduated from York High School, and then moved to Colorado in 1959, settling  in Arvada. She is survived by one sister, Ann Luke (Chuck). Her four children were all raised in Colorado: Karen Peratt Svatko (Jim) of Salida; Greg Peratt (Linda) of Breckenridge and Florida; Kiley Gant of Northglenn and Grant Peratt of Golden. She was loved by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen (Waddell) Railsback and two brothers, Loren Railsback and Joe Railsback.

Naomi was a retail manager and business owner. Travel and family gatherings were two of her favorite hobbies. Especially memorable were her Christmas Eve extravaganzas where she entertained 30 people or more of all ages in her beautifully decorated home. She had many different ornaments and when they would no longer fit on her tree, she asked family members to select one ornament each year for their own tree.

A celebration of Naomi's life will be held on August 21, starting at 4:30 pm at Breadwinners Cafe, 7311 Grandview Avenue, Arvada, Co 80002. We hope that the many people whose lives she touched, those she laughed with and all who shared her independent spirit, will join us. Please RSVP by August 13 to Karen Peratt (310-710-9723 or kperatt17@yahoo.com). Include the number of people attending.
