Obituary of Steven James Henggeler

Steven James Henggeler, age 68, passed away August 30, 2021, at his home in Commerce City, Colorado.

Steve was born September 30, 1952, in Shelby, Nebraska, to Gerald J. Henggeler and Barbara J. Henggeler (Gabriel). The family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1958 where Steve attended local schools and graduated from Poudre High School in 1970. He worked for Larimer County Road and Bridge for many years and then moved to Commerce City, retiring from Conway Freight in 2016.

Steve had a love for the mountains and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with family and friends.

Steve is survived by his brother, Michael Henggeler (Kathy); sisters, Julie Friend and Carol Boyd; nephews Jason Henggeler (Errin), Jeremy Hammett (Kelly), Taylor Boyd; niece, Hanna Boyd; great nephew Lucas Henggeler and great niece Makinzy Hammett. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Henggeler.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
