Obituary of Marie C. Kruse

   Marie C. Kruse, age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born on September 5, 1934 in Sioux Falls, SD and raised in Parker, SD by her parents, Charles and Wanita Dana.

On April 19, 1968, she married Cecil Kruse and spent her best times volunteering for the VFW Auxillary and being the life of the party. She had a vivacious personality who loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards and bridge. In 1972, she survived the Rapid City flood hanging onto a tree and getting posion ivy. In 1994, Marie moved to Colorado to be close to her two children. She worked for Mail Boxes, Etc., a family owned business and retired at the age of 62. She was an active member of the Summit County Senior Center in Frisco, Colorado where she played bridge and made many friends. She loved reading and enjoyed watching old movies. 

She is survived and is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debby Haines, grandchildren; Jason Haines, Melanie Mena (Chad), Chris Luden (Dawn), Shauna Geldert (Paul), 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren, sister, Naomi Reaves and nephew, Drew Reaves. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wanita Dana, her husband, Cecil Kruse and son, Rick Luden.

A short service will be held with family at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota on September 24, 2021 at 11:00AM.
