Obituary of Rosalie Theres Carreon LaPenna

Rosalie Theres Carreon LaPenna would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Rose was born to William J Carreon and Ruby M. Zertuche Carreon on October 6, 1958. Rose had three brothers: William Jr. , Richard, and Timothy. Rose’s life partner: Ray Perez. Rose survived by four children: Cayetano, Gabriel, Marcello, and Adrina. Three grandsons: Angel, Giovanni, and Brandon.  Five granddaughters: Sophie, Aaliyah, Sarah, Jolyssa, and Ruby Rose.

Rose was outgoing and smart, she was always involving herself to be part of something bigger like marching with the Brown Berets in support for their movement. Rose enjoyed being in the spotlight with fashion shows and meeting Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton when working with the Ice Capades. Rose was a creative, artistic woman who had a charismatic demeanor. She was a good motivator and knew how to talk to make people listen. Rose found joy in her grandchildren, and held each of them in her heart dearly. Rose was killed by a team of leprechauns that saved her from a car crash in her earlier life. Or maybe not. We all know how she liked to tell stories.

Rose proceeded in death by her father William J. Carreon ; mother Ruby M. Carreon; Brother William J. Carreon Jr. , Aunts; Merlinda and Priscilla; Uncles:  Jim, Sam, Gilbert, David.

The culmination of her life produced amazing people and great memories. Rose existed, she was loved very much by her children and many people Rose met her on her life journey.  A celebration of Rose’s life will be held on October 2, 2021 from 12:00pm-4:00pm, at Knights of Columbus #3285 1096 East Bridge Street, Brighton, Colorado 80601.
