Obituary of Emma Ruth Steusloff

Emma Ruth Steusloff, age 94, of Arvada, CO passed away on Tuesday February 1, 2022, from Alzheimer’s at Ralston Creek Memory Care in Arvada with her daughter April by her side.

Emma Ruth was born 1927 in Texas, to James Sumner and Annie Allene Boyd. She married Robert Steusloff April 5,1950.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Steusloff and two brothers, Sumner Moseley and David Boyd.

She attended Baylor and Hillcrest hospitals in Waco Texas where she received a Registered Nursing degree. Her career in nursing covered all facets of positions and duties in hospitals and doctor’s offices.

Burial of her ashes will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, by her family at Arvada Cemetery.

Surviving are her children, Robin, April and Jay Steusloff, brother Colonel Thomas Boyd of Moline, IL and Billie Jo Brackeen of San Marcos, TX, Grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ruth was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.
