Obituary of Patricia Anne Marsalis

Patricia Anne Marsalis née Henkel was born in New Jersey to Mary Katharine and William Walter Henkel. She passed away at the age of 75 near her home in Aurora, Colorado. Friends and family knew her as Pat.

She is survived by her brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Charles “Charlie” Marsalis, and her beloved schnauzers.

Pat’s bright personality made the friendly skies even friendlier during her 34-year career with United Airlines. When she wasn’t traveling, Pat could be found playing a round of golf, having brunch with friends, or reading a book on true crimes. She volunteered her time to many causes including Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA). She was a resilient breast cancer survivor. No matter what she was doing, Pat brought sincerity, optimism, a sense of humor, and lots of sparkle.

A casual service will be held at 10:00am on Friday March 25 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Reception with light refreshments to follow 11:30am – 2:30pm at the Heather Ridge South Clubhouse at 2811 South Xanadu Way, Aurora, CO 80014.

In lieu of flowers, friends can make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Mini Schnauzer Rescue of Colorado.
