Obituary of Frank Rohleder

Frank Rohleder, was born December 17, 1926 at home, near St. Peter Kansas.

He was the second child born to Peter and Anna (Pfeifer) Rohleder. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in the Philippines from 1945 to 1946. He returned swearing he would never eat rice again or go on a cruise. And he never did either.

He met the love of his life Marcella Marie Norton in Park, Kansas in the summer of 1948. Their first date was a blind date to the movies with friends. They married on August 30, 1950 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park Kansas. They enjoyed 71+ years of married life.

The happy couple moved to Aurora Colorado in November 1955. Frank worked in the Grocery industry for the majority of his career until suffering a stroke at the age of 58.

Frank’s passions included, caring for the yard, polka, politics, baseball, and cheering for his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Frank loved his family unconditionally and will be missed and cherished by all. Frank went to heaven on May 1st, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Rohleder, five children, Marylyn Young, Gary Rohleder, Randy Rohleder, Sharon (Terry) Andrews, Lyle (Julie) Rohleder and dozens of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, his brother Richard Rohleder and sister Ramilda Richmeier and their families.

Graveside services will be held, Tuesday, May 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the Wakeeney Veteran’s Cemetery followed by a reception from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wakeeney V.F.W. Wearing Kansas City Chiefs colors (Red & Yellow) are encouraged.
