Geneva Mae (Templeman) Froehlich, 80 years, left this life on Friday, June 17, 2022 at her home in Thornton, CO

Gena was born on December 30, 1941, to Dale and Margaret Templeman in Atlantic, Iowa and lived both in Iowa and Colorado.

Gena was a postal police officer with the Denver post office from 1981 to 1993.

She was a member of the Federation of Police-Women’s Program. (Her abilities as a sharpshooter were legendary). She was also a member of the Widowed Men & Women of America, the Elks Club, Moose Club, Eagles Club and the American Legion.

Gena was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Northglenn, Colorado.

Gena is survived by her daughters, Susan (Kenny) Meyers of Northglenn, Cyndee (John) Fleming of Northglenn, 3 grandchildren: Cherice ( Tate) Quackenbush of Vista, CA, Matt and Judy Fleming of Northglenn, CO and 1 great-granddaughter, Nallanii Fleming of Northglenn. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Templeman of Windsor, CO and brother Ray (Linda) Templeman of Newcastle, Wy and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Dutch Froehlich, her sons, Steve and Scottie and a great-granddaughter, Stacey Quackenbush. Also, sisters Jeannette Smith and Joan Soderholm and brother Jack Templeman.

Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Dr. in Northglenn, CO at 11 AM on Friday, July 1 with reception immediately after at the Northglenn Elks, 10969 Irma Dr., Northglenn, CO. Graveside services will be held at a later date at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
