I can't begin to tell you what a blessing James Melvin was to us. He worked for our family at Platte City Kwik Lube. Never without a smile and always willing to go above and beyond in his work ethics. He was like part of our family. Even after he moved to Colorado, when he came back to visit, he would always drive to Kearney to visit with Chuck if he didn't catch him in Platte City and would always come to my office to catch me up and give me a hug and a smile. James Melvin never had a bad word about anyone. He loved his family fiercely and always kept us updated on what they were doing. Heaven has sure gained a special angel. We will never forget you James Melvin.

Jeanne and family,
I was sad to hear the news of Uncle James’ passing. He and your mom opened their home to me on more than one occasion when I went back to Platte City to visit. He entertained my kids as he entertained us cousins in our youth. Now he is attending a grand reunion of the George clan in Heaven! God’s peace be with your family. Love and hugs from Texas.

Jeanne and Family--I am saddened to learn of Uncle James' passing. He was always a most amusing uncle when I was a kid at family dinners (in the 60's!). I specifically remember him trying to explain his love for the music of the "rackety sax", as he was a young man at the time but treated this sassy little kid as if I was old enough to understand. He was a hoot. May you enjoy the comfort of Christ's beautiful presence, especially in this time of grief. Kandace George Longoria
