Obituary of Jane Ellen Francescato

Jane Ellen Francescato

January 4, 1949 - October 3, 2022

Jane Francescato, beloved wife, mother and friend, died at home following a prolonged illness. If you knew Jane, you knew that she lived life on her terms. She loved her family, friends, food and fun and she enjoyed all of those things as often as possible. She was a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren, a loving mom to her kids and dogs, an avid reader and an adventurous cook.

Jane pursued an education in nursing, which led to a 40-year career in healthcare. She worked across the spectrum of nursing in roles that included coroner, director of nursing for several long-term care facilities and director of utilization review for major insurers. Following her retirement from healthcare, she continued to pursue a variety of unique roles including a Lyft driver and a greeter for her Denver Broncos. She turned her love of pickling into a business for many years, making and selling Jane’s Big Dill spicy dill pickles throughout Colorado. Jane’s love of good food and her affinity for travel ensured that an adventure was always on the horizon.

She is survived by Tony, her husband of 40 years, her children Max (Andrea) and Muffie (Sharon), and four grandchildren (Riley, Cooper, Jackson and Georgia). Private services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She is deeply missed.
