Obituary of Joy D. Huntley

Joy D. Berry Huntley, long-time Puebloan, entered eternal life October 14th, 2022 at the age of 96. 
 
She was born in Fairmont, Minnesota on January 26th, 1926 to Beaufort and Myrtle Berry. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Richard Huntley of Thornton, Colorado; Children Scott (Terrie) Huntley of Pueblo, George Huntley of Colorado Springs, and Janet Panza of Westminster, CO; Granddaughters Alison (Javier) Panza Jennings of Annandale, VA and Susan (Matt Kim) Panza of Broomfield, CO; Sister Coreen (Peter) Larson of Pasadena, CA; Sisters-in-law Susan (James) Ragland of Carbondale, CO and Betty Convisser of Freedom, CA; Many nieces and nephews; Former Daughter-in-law Diana Karnes of Pueblo, CO; Former son-in-law Dennis Panza of Mesa, AZ; and special longtime family friend Marianna Boyd of Pueblo, CO. Joy was preceded in death by her siblings Dayle, Wayne, Dean, Hope, Reid, Ronald and their spouses. 
 
Joy was a graduate of CSU Pueblo. She loved teaching, music, painting and planting flower gardens. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Pueblo and spent her later years volunteering for church events.  The family would like to thank Peter Ehlers, Dr. Francisca Onuoha, and the wonderful staff at Elms Haven Care Center in Thornton, CO for caring for Joy the last five years of her life. 
 
A celebration of Joy's life will be held Saturday, December 10th at 11 AM at The Crossing Church of the Nazarene, 3501 W. 104th  Ave. Westminster, CO, 80031.
