Obituary of David Shannon Smyth

David Shannon Smyth, 79, died October 6, 2022, at his home in Westminster, Colorado.

At his request, no service will be held.

Mr. Smyth is survived by his loving partner, Kathryn Porter; his children and their partners Shannon (Stephen), Caitie (Brian), A.J. (Annie), and Matthew (Maura); and his four grandchildren.

Mr. Smyth was born May 13, 1943 and was a lifelong Coloradan. Mr. Smyth attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he also played football. He worked many years in real estate as a commercial and retail builder and developer. He also spent many years working in banking in the Denver area. Mr. Smyth enjoyed skiing, was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii.
