On Saturday, November 19, 2022, Nimrod Salazar, a loving husband and father of two children, passed away at home in Littleton, Co embraced by family at the age of 69. 

Nimrod was born in Denver, CO to Robert and Frances Salazar. He completed his associate Degree of Science through the G.I. Bill and furthered his academics in Organizational Behavior at the University of Phoenix. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a crew member on the USS Enterprise CVN-65, the first nuclear powered aircraft carrier and the eighth United States naval vessel to bear the name. He started his 46 year career at the United States Postal Service as a custodian and worked his way to the top as Plant Manager. During these staunch years he proved to be a devoted mentor, steward, influencer and friend to many people. In 1971 he married Geraldine Salazar. They raised one son, Nimrod Jr and one daughter, Nique. 

Nimrod had a passion for the outdoors. Fishing and hunting were his forte. He always caught the biggest fish, easily winning any friendly competition. He loved gathering with friends and family around a warm campfire. His stories and jokes were the life of the party. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan, music lover, bibliophile and collector of antique fishing lures. He was known for his leadership, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Nimrod was preceded in death by his father Robert, his mother Frances, his brother Robert and his sister Jeanie. He is survived by his wife Gearldine, his two children Nimrod and Nique, son in law Tony, grandson Liam, sister Delilah and several nieces and nephews.
