Obituary of Carolyn Louise Graham

We were forever changed in the early morning on December 6th, 2022, when our Mother Carolyn Louise Graham passed at home peacefully in her sleep. Carolyn was 79 years old and was preceded in Death by her parents, Carl A. Johnson, and Dorothy E. Johnson of Denver. She leaves behind her daughters Tina Mandigo and Connie Coffey (Ron Coffey), six grandchildren, Jessica C. Schulze, Madison E. Mandigo, Maximillian R. Mandigo, Riley V. Coffey, Joseph C. Mandigo and Amanda C. Coffey, Three great grandchildren, Isis S. Powers, Mazzy L. Ludders, and Natalie S. Mandigo.

Carolyn’s career was in the business of fine Hardwoods first for H&B Hardwoods and then spent the majority of her career at Frank Paxton Lumber Company in Denver. However, it was after her retirement that she was able to find her true passion and that was being a part of her grandchildren’s lives as much as possible. It first came in the form of volunteering as the “Lunch Lady” at University Hills Lutheran School where she could always be found helping and where she found joy and the true meaning of being a servant of Christ. After her grandchildren moved ahead in their education, she found her true calling in the Early Learning Center at St. Johns Lutheran Church and School, she finally found her happy place. She passed through the lives of many children and their families and each one of them held a special place in her heart, we knew all about them because Connie’s iconic dinner around the table at 5:30 sharp is where she shared the love of her students, parents and of course her co-workers, she truly loved her St. Johns family.

Carolyn was so much more than a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and her absence will be felt by so many, Her Love of family was enormous and felt today and for all the days to come.
