Obituary of Ernest Frank Clark

Ernest "Ernie"  Frank Clark 

Ernest (Ernie) Frank Clark was born to Ernest Pete and Doris Edwina Clark on August 17th, 1956. in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  Ernie worked as a police officer in NJ for several years.  He then traveled to CO and met the love of his life, Faith, at a Tastee Freeze.  Ernie fell in love with Faith and they married August 17th, 1978 (Ernie’s birthday).  From this union, their son Ernest Clark Jr and daughter Betty Clark were born.

 

Ernie was a Security Guard and delivered auto parts around town.  In 2001, he and two friends, Roy and Todd, started working on bicycles.  By 2017, they became a nonprofit named Second Chance Bicycle Shop.  Giving bicycles a “Second Chance.”   There were various locations in Aurora, CO.  Ernie appreciated the daily help from volunteers at S.C.B.S.

 

Ernie (66) passed away unexpectedly on November 9th, 2022, after a medical episode.  He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Faith, son Ernie Jr (Karla), daughter Betty, grandsons Samuel and Marcus, brother Charlie, sisters Peggy, Jeannie, Uncle Teddy and Aunt Elva, a niece and host of nephews and cousins.

One of Ernie’s biggest accomplishments was having children.  He and considered himself lucky enough to have two, who have become successful!  Ernie adored his grandchildren and enjoyed all times spent with them.

 

Ernie took great pride in giving so many the joy and freedom of having a bike.  He has inspired so many to carry on his legacy.

 

Ernie will be greatly missed!
