Obituary of Theresa Ann Bunnell

Devoted wife and dedicated mother. Born April 20, 1932 in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 20, 2022 in Littleton, Colorado.

The third of four daughters to Joseph and Mae (Lang) Plisinski. Graduated from Gallitzin High School in 1950. Theresa moved to Washington DC. shortly after High School where she was employed by the FBI. This is where she met Harry Bunnell who was serving in the US Navy at the time. Harry and Theresa were married on September 6, 1952 and moved to Denver where they began the next phase of their life together which thrived to span the next 7 decades.

Theresa was the mother to four boys. Thomas Harry (Rose-Marie), Daniel Raymond, Steven Wayne (Erin) and David Lee (Tresa), and one granddaughter Kaylee Ikola (Jon) and two great grandchildren Roger and Madison. She was also blessed with a vast extended family Olivia Baker (Wesley), Stevie and Leon. Nicole Yelton (Alan) Cooper and Johnathon; and Ashleigh Jacks (Kris) Madisyn and Xander.

Theresa was committed to helping others and devoted her time as a volunteer at Holy Name Catholic Church, Swedish Medical Center, and Littleton Adventist Hospital. She was generous and quick to provide aid to others who were in need of support. Her compassion and generosity to others had no bounds.

Theresa is now reunited with her husband Harry, sons Thomas and Daniel, Sisters Mary Mills (Stanley) and Dorothy “Gene” Leyo (Joseph). She leaves behind her sister Elaine Peterson (Jerry) along with her remaining sons and their families.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday April 21 at Fort Logan National cemetery at at Staging Area A at 10:45 am. Following the service lunch will be served at Saint Agnes Center at Holy Name Catholic Church.
