Spud was a great friend and exceptional athlete. I met Spud back in junior high. I'll never forget how he volunteered to introduce himself first in speech class even though he was new to the school and didn't know anyone. He excelled at many sports-fearless was his trademark. He was a gymnast, skier, skateboarder, and rock climber. I remember when some girls from the gymnastics team challenged him to a contest of skills. Spud went first and performed a series of handsprings, finishing with a roundoff and back flip. The girls picked up their shoes and quietly left. He also skateboarded better than anyone I knew. He took me and some other friends to a swimming pool at an abandoned health club. After performing several tricks in the deep end of the pool he would go full speed towards the wall launching himself onto the pool deck while executing a flip! Spud was also a great climber. He took some of us to Red Rocks to climb. We started on a narrow ledge that climbed to 60 feet high. Suddenly the ledge ended. The only place to go was up a vertical crack about 5“ wide and 20 feet high. When I got to the top, Spud said I looked white as a sheet. I never went climbing again. I’ll miss you Spud. Save me a seat in heaven.

My brother was a classmate of Brad's from elementary school on, which is how I knew Brad. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I always remember him as a nice guy who was very "cool" and always with a smile on his face. May his family find comfort in their memories.

I am a good friend of Jessica's and though I only met Brad once, I'll always remember when some of my friends and I flew out to visit and start our road trip. We were getting ready to go when his cat, Mei, went missing and he was out of his mind looking for her. He loved that cat to pieces and thankfully she was found, but all I wanted to do was give him a hug.
Brad's such a sweet man and he loves his daughter to absolute pieces, he'd do anything for her. My condolences go out to Jessica and her family.
Love you Jess!
