Al was one of the good guy's! I met him in 1992, he was one of seven Managers of Post Office Operations, I was their secretary. He observed everything. He was the catalyst of my Postal career, and I am forever grateful for his encouragement and constructive advice for career advancement. We subsequently were Board colleagues at PCCU, and recently, my tax preparer. Al was a kind, intelligent man who believed in family and helping others. He loved talking about his family, how grew up, and his green Chili! He will be remembered as a positive light in in this world and to my family.

Hello Lujan Family,
We wanted to express our deepest sympathies. We met Al through my father in law that new him from the Post Office. He did our taxes the last 15 years. He was always looking out for us as we started our small business many years ago. Always referring us or giving us advice. The obituary was spot on saying that he was so encouraging of the latino/hispanic community and small businesses. We just wanted to express how great he was. Not only keeping us informed all year long but send along anything we might find useful and making sure we were prepared. He always spoke of his family and his beloved wife, always keeping her collections near by. He was a proud Veteran and always asked about our daughter that is currently serving. I recently returned to school after many years and he always made it a point to ask about how it was going and how great getting an education was. Really sincere and encouraging. He also had a great sense of humor. We looked forward to seeing him every year. He will be dearly missed.
Sincerely,
Ralph and Diana Ruiz

Sorry to hear of Al's passing. I was also a postal employee, although I never got to work with him, he always had a friendly hello and smile when our paths would cross. He is now at peace and has joined his loved ones that went before him.

To my Lujan family!
God’s blessings to you all! Al was one of my best friends! We worked at the U.S. Postal Service together for years! With Al, you always knew he had your back! He was and now in heaven, a blessing to us! Al did my taxes as well as taking care of my mom’s too! I called him “Sir Lujan”! I could call him or e-mail him and he would always answer me! He is with his lovely Bertha once again. Amen!
You can call me or e-mail me to share memories and just talk!
