Obituary of Linda Jo Krabbe

On Tuesday, January 12, 2023, Linda Jo Krabbe, loving wife, mother of three children, grandmother of four grandchildren, passed away at the age of 82.

Linda was born on July 23, 1940 in Jacksonville, FL to William Jay and Daisy Simmons and raised on a dairy farm. She married Fredrick Krabbe on September 11, 1965. They lived in Jacksonville, FL and Denver, CO. Linda had two brothers, Gary and Ray, and two sisters, Nel and Sherry.

Linda had a passion for gardening, cooking, and history. She loved to spend time in her garden watching the birds, bees, butterflies, and all of the beautiful colors of her plants and flowers. She was a talented cook and enjoyed preparing large family dinners often. Linda had an accomplished professional career as an executive secretary in the oil industry. She traveled all over the United Sates and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was known for her quick wit, bold opinions, generosity, and warm heart. She was strong, sensitive, and humble. She loved animals, especially her dog Taquita, and most of all she loved her family more than anything.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy, father, William, brothers, Ray, and Gary, and sister, Nel. She was survived by her husband Fred, her three children, Fredrick Jr., Karen, and Mark, her four grandchildren, Michele, Jonathan, Kimberly, and Constance, her sister, Sherry. A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 19, at 1pm at the Eisenhower Chapel in Denver.
