I met Tom while in junior high school in 1958. We became best friends and that relationship continued through junior high and high school and right up to the end of his life. In those school years he was almost a part of our family.
Through the years Tom and I weaved our way in and out of each other’s lives as the opportunities arose. He fit right in with any group that I introduced him to, be it personal friends, school or business associates. He was easy to like with that easy-going approach and the mischievous smile. He was always ready for the next adventure.
I will never forget our ski trip to Stephen’s Pass. He was an expert skier having started very young. I was a terrible skier having started in my 50s. As I thrashed my way down the slopes Tom glided down the slopes effortlessly. He was in such control that it appeared that he could do it with a cup of coffee in his hand. I was so impressed and envious.
So many memories over the years, such a good person, he is sorely missed.
