Obituary of Terecita Jackson

On February 3, 2023, Theresa Jackson, 80, took her final breath, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 18, 1943, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and moved to Colorado with her family as a young child. She had a fulfilling career as a hairstylist and preschool teacher until she retired in 2003. Theresa was full of life, loved music and dancing, and cheering for the Broncos and Rockies. Her family was her biggest blessing, and she had a profound and lasting impact on everyone she knew.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Gregorita Solano, sisters Lydia and Terecita, and brothers Valentine, Juan Jr., Arthur, Chris, and Santuniño. 

She is survived by her brother Jose Leroy Solano, her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Jackson, her children Barbara (Augie) Trujillo, Michael Ortega, Lisa Ortega, Mandy (Alfonso) Deines, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Theresa was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be fondly remembered forevermore.

A Celebration of Life followed by a reception will be held at Thrive Church located at 2720 W 92^nd Avenue, Federal Heights, CO 80260 on Thursday, March 9, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. 

A burial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
