Obituary of Jonathan Leland Dack

Jonathan Leland Dack

 

Jonathan Leland Dack, age 61, passed away on February 27, 2023, (1;00 PM), peacefully surrounded by his family at Centura Littleton Adventist Hospital, Littleton Colorado.  He lost his battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. 

Jon was predeceased in death by his mother and father Eleanor Faye (Daffer) and Carroll Bruce Dack. He was also predeceased by siblings LeRoy Allan (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), Jamie Samuel (McCook, NE), and Susan Eleanor Dack) Taylor (Batesville, MS),  He is survived by his sisters Georgia Ann (Dack) Young (Dover, DE) and Marsha Carol (Dack) Smedley (Centennial, CO), and older brother Walter Franklin and spouse Brenda, (Kremmling, CO) and nieces Lara Smedley, Chelsie, and Brittney Dack, (Denver, CO) and nephew Ross and his wife Sharese and their son Emmett (Mooreland , IN). 

Jon was a certified FAA Air frame and Power Plant mechanic working at Stapleton Airport for Continental Airlines.  Further, during his career he worked as an independent automotive mechanic and earned a Commercial Driver’s License working for several transportation companies in and around Colorado.

Jon was an avid fisherman who knew all the great Rocky Mountain fishing holes, unselfishly taking his nieces and nephews fishing all over Colorado many times at the spur of the moment. 

Jon enjoyed helping his sister Marsha and brother-in-law, Thomas Smedley, tending their horses when Marsha and Tom were out of town.  

Jon was loved by the residences of 200 W Sterne Pkwy, Littleton, CO. Known as the go-to man for many errands always lending a hand when asked.
