Obituary of Marjorie Rose Donnelly-Egbert

Marjorie Rose Donnelly-Egbert passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Monday February 20, 2023 at Western Hills Health Care Center 1625 Carr Street, Lakewood, Colorado 80214. 

Special thanks to her daughter Deborah and son-in-law Steven Petersen who lovingly cared for Marjorie for the last two and a half years in their home.

Marjorie was born February 18, 1928 to Bennett Jay Knipe and Mildred Monette Allen in Hazelton Township, Shiawassee County, Michigan, USA.

Her brothers, Harold Knipe, Ronald B. Knipe married to Ruthann (Filbert), Floyd A. Knipe married to Delores (Diffin), and her grandson Arthur M. Squassabia, all preceeded Marjorie in death.

Marjorie was married April 20, 1946 in Monroe, Michigan to Edgar Thomas Donnelly who died August 26, 1990.  They had seven children.  After 10 years of widowhood, on July 14, 2000 in Jefferson County, Colorado she married Robert LaMar Egbert who died April 8, 2020.

Marjorie after graduating from high school became a cosmetologist in Toledo, Ohio.  She was a devoted homemaker.  She also independently studied and practiced reflexology.  In her sixties she became an esthetician.  Marjorie was also a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Marjorie is survived by her seven children:

Deborah A. Petersen married to Steven Petersen

Thomas E. Donnelly married to Patti (Michela)

Janine E. Storrs widowed to John Storrs

Barbara S. Higgins widowed to Michael Higgins

Sally J. Engstrom married to Craig Engstrom

Maryann D. Squassabia married to Alberto Squassabia

Marjorie is grandmother to 27 grandchildren and over 40 great grandchildren, with more on the way!
