Obituary of Gary Richard Guara

Gary R. Guara, age 67, sadely passed away on March 19, 2023 in Westminster, Colorado. He was born on June 10, 1955 in Pueblo, Colorado to parents Julian Guara and Joann Guara. 

Preceding Gary in death are his wife Karen Schorn, father Julian Guara, brother Clifford Guara and nephew Edward Martinez. 

Those left behind to honor and cherish Gary's memory are son David (Lacie) Barela, mother Joann Guara, two grandchildren Chasity (Vah), Stormie, two great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Adalynn, brothers Anthony Guara, Manuel Guara, sisters Rita (Mike Gutierrez) Gaytan and Darlene Flores. 

Gary bravely and proudly served his country by joining the United States Army from July 1973 until his honorable discrhage in July of 1978, he earned the rank of SP4 as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Good Conduct Medal and Marksmen (Rifle) Medal.

After his time served in the military Gary went on to become a graphic designer for Gunslinger Custom Paint where they worked exclusively on Harley Davidson motorcycles. 

Gary will be truly missed by all those who knew him.
