Obituary of Charlynn Kay Lalander

Charlynn Kay Lalander

Charlynn Kay Lalander, "Kacy" or "Sunshine", 66, passed suddenly on March 14, 2023, in Denver, CO. She was born on February 21, 1957, in Ft. Collins, CO to Jacqueline Connerley and John C Applegate.  Kacy had lived in many places including Colorado, Texas, Germany, Maryland, Kansas, and Washington.  Kacy was married twice. Her 1975 graduation from High School was in Pueblo, CO. She proudly graduated from Denver Technical college in 1991 with two Associates Degrees, Medical Assistant and Medical Transcription. She began a career helping elderly/recovering patients in nursing centers/hospitals. Due to an injury Kacy had to find other ways to serve people.

Charlynn “Kacy” loved life, butterflies, the color purple, Nicholas Cage, and dancing. She loved her grandkids! Whenever she could, she traveled to Colorado Springs to see friends, or to the mountains to wade in the creeks, hike the trails, camp, collect the “pretty” rocks and enjoy the beauty of nature. Charlynn “Sunshine” loved to help other people, always taking in the less fortunate and giving them a place to stay, food, or anything else she could help with. She loved meditating by the Platte River behind her home, walking and collecting more “pretty” rocks and checking out the trains as they went by.

She was Preceded in death by:
