Peggy McLane

1948 - 2023

Peggy McLane, age 74, of Longmont, Colorado, began her journey into heaven on April 1, 2023. She was born October 10, 1948 in Houston, Texas to her parents Elmer and Melda Grohman.

Throughout her life, Peggy remained a strong, resilient, and an independent woman. Persevering as a single mother, she remained proud of the son she raised. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, living life to its fullest. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Longmont where she enjoyed spending time socializing with many of her friends.

Later in life, she was diagnosed with Early-Stage Alzheimer’s, but even as the disease progressed and began to take toll on her mind and body, she never lost her personality and strong will to remain as independent as possible.

She is survived by her beloved son Jeff McLane and his husband Doug Alves of Thornton Colorado, her longtime partner Rick Johnson of Longmont, Colorado, her brother Larry Grohman and his wife Nelda of Kennard, Texas, and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Moose Lodge located at 2200 Pratt St, Longmont CO 80501 at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023.
