Obituary of Zachary Mason Finamore

In Loving memory of Zachary Mason Finamore “Zac”

Zachary Mason Finamore, age 18, tragically passed away as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident on the night of April 4, 2023, in Thornton, Colorado.

Zachary was born on October 06, 2004, in Denver, Colorado, to his parents, Thomas and Christina Finamore. In addition to his parents, Zachary was the youngest of 3 and is survived by his Sister and Brother, Allyssa and Joseph Finamore of Thornton; Grandmother, Andrea King of Broomfield; Girlfriend, Kat Lavrinenko of Henderson; Beloved cat Obi. Along with Multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Zachary is preceded in death by his paternal Grandmother, Mary Finamore.

Growing up, Zachary attended Glacier Peak Elementary, Century Middle, Horizon High and Riverdale Ridge High school, where he was 6 weeks away from graduating. He was also attending Front Range Community College during his senior year for nursing prerequisites.

Zachary was a radiant boy who knew how to light up any room with his unique sense of humor and kindness. He was widely known for being a fiercely loyal friend to everyone, notorious for being there in a time of need with problems large or small. He was never afraid to tell you how things really were, he didn’t lie to your face. He was upfront about issues in front of him, especially to his friends. Zac made everything an adventure, even the simplest events turned into a story to tell along with some sort of treasure. He always had something to show at the end of the day. Whether it was traffic cones, signs, rocks, lawn decorations, stickers, clothes or even a toy baby. Everything was treasured in his eyes if it meant something to him. Sitting around was never an option to him, he always found something fun to do.

Zachary had many hobbies that occupied his short time on this earth, all of which will always remind his loved ones of him. Zac had picked up guitar and impressed many of us with how natural he looked and how quick he learned to play his favorite songs. He had so much talent and potential. His love for camping with his friends and family was seen every summer. Zac began playing video games at a young age and it carried into his later years, it was his way of taking time to himself and relaxing. He always had something new to talk about. He’d find himself being glued to reading and listening to stories for hours, and Zach loved to share his newfound information with everyone around him. He would like to debate at times, he wanted to be a lawyer his freshmen year. His willpower and love for knowledge would have likely led him to succeed no matter what career he chose.

Zac had so much love for everyone around him. He deeply cared for everyone in his life. His love will be cherished, and he will be missed. Zac had enough time to teach everyone something new, he had enough time to show us he was someone no one has seen before. He played a role in all our lives; he will never be forgotten.

We love you Zac and your memories will live on within all of us.
