Obituary of Blane Doyle

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Blane Doyle. He was called to heaven on May 4, 2023.

 Blane is survived by his son, Jason Doyle, and his daughter, Kristina Doyle, his granddaughter, Alexis, and his grandson, Ashton. His family includes Richard and Alice, his parents, brothers Brian Doyle, Rick Doyle and Frank Doyle, sisters Terri Henkel (Doyle) and Valerie Burke (Doyle).

Blane had a huge heart. He was always there to help anyone who asked. Blane’s generosity was nothing short of amazing. He often helped the homeless with food and conversation. He also had a great sense of dry humor and enjoyed making people laugh. As many know, he never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who would give you the proverbial shirt off his back, even it was the only one he had left.

Blane’s passion was water skiing. Although he’d had numerous surgeries, joint replacements and other aches from a lifetime of hard work, he always said he had no pain when on the water. Blane taught his entire family to water ski, and the youngest, his grandson continues to excel in competition. Blane’s spirit will forever be an important part of the water-skiing community. He was an expert mechanic and would or could fix almost anything. He spent numerous hours helping friends and family alike, repairing and maintaining boats, cars, motorcycles or anything with an engine. Blane will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Services will begin with a Rosary at 10:00am and followed by Mass at 10:30am, will be said on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at 3900 Pierce St., Wheat Ridge, CO.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send donations to a gofundme page in Blane’s name.

 

A golden heart stopped beating, Hardworking hands at rest,

It broke our hearts to see you go, God only takes the best.

They say that memories are golden, Well, maybe that us true.

But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you,

Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will  always remember you.

We sat beside your bedside,

Our hearts were crushed and sore, We did our duty to the end,

’Til we could do not more.

In tears we watched you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay.

Our lips cannot speak how we loved you, Our hearts cannot tell what to say,

But God only knows how we miss you, In our home that is lonely today.
